Our Story

The Chakna Co. began with one simple thought: yaar, premium food shouldn’t mean premium drama.

As total foodies, we kept seeing the same two options: either pay big money at fancy bars and 5-stars, or order from places where you’d rather not imagine the kitchen. And for the drinking gang? Even worse overpriced drinks with “okay-ish” food, or roadside chakna stalls frying Bangda in the same reused palm oil.

So we said – bas, enough

We are building a restaurant chain that serves premium, honest, super-tasty food without shortcuts.

No palm oil. No preservatives. No frozen gravies. No jugaad hygiene.

We run tight processes, yes, even milk products are checked (tincture iodine test) for authenticity.

And we don’t believe “premium” means tear-your-tongue spicy. There’s a difference between flavourful and fiery. At The Chakna Co., fresh ingredients, pure masalas, and killer aromas do the heavy lifting. Teekha? It just kills the taste.

Today, our mission is simple: bring premium home dining to everyone, family meals, house parties, or that one solo drink after a long day.

Spices Are The Soul Of A Country; They Speak Before We Do.

Long before the West discovered the charm of aromatic kitchens, India’s soil, sun and seasons were whispering secrets through its spices. Every Indian language learned to name these whispers as Rasa or Swad for their full, rich taste of herbs and seeds and the gentle warmth that fills the mouth, and Teekha for the sudden, pungent heat that wakes the senses. English calls it all Spicy. Just one word for both nuance and fire.

But at The Chakna Co., we know the difference and so do you. 

Our dishes arrive at your table with flavour as the first invitation. The spices are alive, intricate, telling a story of centuries-old traditions. Heat is absent until you choose to awaken it. Alongside each plate, we place fiery chutneys and salan which give you the freedom to write your own chapter in taste. Because we know that flavours vanish when a tongue burns too soon.

In India, taste has always been precise. Teekha was never a flavour, it has always been a sensation that can dominate if unchecked. On the other hand, Rasa is the symphony, the slow unraveling of aroma and richness.

The Biryani

There is something grounding about a plate of biryani, the aroma, the warmth, the stillness before that first bite.

At The Chakna Co. we make our biryani the way we believe it should be, slow- cooked, layered, and rich in flavours that will stay with you long after the box is empty. We use aged basmati rice, whole spices, marinated ingredients, and take our time, because that’s the only way it tastes like home.

It’s the kind of meal that holds its warmth, even after the plate is empty.

Each dish that lands on the menu is personally tested and approved by yours truly, Chakna Singh, to make sure it hits the right spot and sizzles the same taste buds I care about most: yours.

Our food changes with the mood, the season, and quiet sparks of taste.

Like Chana Chakna Masala with its chatpata charm, Chicken Manchurian in full party mood, or Prawns Biryani doing what only jhinga can.
